Our accounting department had always used accountant version, then tried Premier Pro when we upgraded to 2021, and that created a couple of problems, including it not liking multi-user mode so much. *Select “NO” and “don’t show again” unless you know you need it in your case.

It’s not necessary to have a Windows pc acting as server for this. I have been through quite a lot of work, researching on my own, and getting a wide array of conflicting opinions, then working with Quickbooks support on the phone, and I now have a working setup. This guide was completed and tested and I was on the phone with Intuit support, so believe me, I’m not just saying this cavalierly. We tried this different ways and either had bugs and crashes or unusably slow performance. It *is* possible to have Quickbooks files stored on a Synology Diskstation *and* use multi-user mode.
